back home
Eta dom? Da, eta dom. Paul tam? Da, tam.
One of my very first lessons in russian language.
I arrived back home yesterday evening. 23:00. My dear neighbour Joke waited for me. She had the key of my flat. Joke is an amazing woman. She's 83 years old. But young at heart. Open minded. Sweet. Clever. Always interested. My children love her very much. And so do I.
It was an exciting month in Moscow!
I am so happy to see my children again. Tomorrow they will come to my house and stay with me for 5 nights. I will write about it later this week.
I also feel homesick for Moscow. Difficult to explain. So I will not try to.
Like you all know I met such nice people in Moscow. I miss Svetlana so much. I miss my friends from class. Stefano and Dalila. I miss my prepodavatel. Katja. I miss Lena.
Now I'm back in Groningen. Silent Groningen. Slow Groningen. Neatly Groningen. RelaxedGroningen. Boring Groningen.(Excuses to my followers who love Groningen very much.Keep on following me, despite ofmy words)
About things that happened to me in Moscow. Of course I couldn't tell you everything. Time was too short. The next days I will probably remember some things I have to tell you. Now there's one story I want to share with you.
Last week I was in the best internet cafe I have ever been. I was talking with Svetlana. Then I went to a computer to check my email. A man sitting behind me asked me in bad dutch (but in dutch!) if I was from Holland. Yes. Then he told me he lived 9 years in..........Groningen!!! He even knew the street I'm living! 'Aaahh that's in Helpman'! He told me why he lived in Groningen. Where he lived in Groningen. Paddepoel. Etcetera. Very interesting. Very amazing. Then he asked me if I would be so friendly to bring a message to one of his friends in Groningen. Of course. I'm very friendly and helpfull. Most of the times. So he asked Svetlana if he could buy a postcard somewhere near the internet cafe. He went out and came back with a beautiful postcard. He asked me to write the words to his friend. I refused. I told him his friend would like it moreif he wrote the card himself. Even if it would be full of mistakes. It would be more personal. So he did.
I can't translate bad dutch into bad english. So this might only be interesting for my dutch followers. This is what he wrote:
'Ons wereld is klein. Mij wens veel geluik moe. Van Ruslam R.'
Then he wrote the address I had to deliver it on the envelope.
Steentillstraat 3a. Koffishop 'Glori'. Voor Stefan.
So I have to visit a coffeeshop later this week. I promised him. So I have to.

Liefs
